We measured what survives a standard pipeline

A test image carrying a real, cryptographically valid C2PA manifest, then ordinary, everyday transforms. Verified at every stage by this live API.

Method, honestly: signed with the public C2PA test certificate. The signature is cryptographically valid but not anchored to the official trust list, so the low control score is the verifier working correctly. Transforms are standard Pillow operations every CMS and social pipeline performs. Even a lossless, pixel-identical re-save destroys the manifest. Measured 2026-08-18 against this live API; named-CDN benchmarking is the next step. Article 50 requires machine-readable marking; standard tooling deletes it. Vaelis measures the gap and signs the evidence.
